WHY WE EXIST
BREAKING THE POVERTY CYCLE
Poverty isn’t just a lack of money - it’s a lack of opportunity, passed down like inheritance.
HOW THE POVERTY CYCLE PERSISTS
Poverty is often inherited, passed down from one generation to the next.
It begins in childhood, when children are born into families with poor nutrition, limited education, and little access to opportunity.
Without the chance to learn, these children grow up unable to secure stable, well-paying jobs - locking them into the same low-income reality as their parents.
This lack or resources leads to poor healthcare, unsafe living conditions, and continued educational barriers for the next generation.
And so, the cycle of poverty repeats - deepening disadvantage and limiting futures.
HOW WE BREAK THE POVERTY CYCLE
At Jacob’s Vision, we believe that breaking the cycle of poverty starts with education.
By providing vulnerable children with access to quality learning, we empower them with the tools to secure meaningful employment, achieve independence, and build brighter futures.
But we don’t stop there. As these children grow into adulthood, we offer guidance and mentorship to help them make informed choices about their futures - including decisions around family planning.
By understanding how to plan for the families they want and are able to support, they can create more stable, healthy lives for themselves and their future children.
With education and opportunity, children can break free from poverty - not just for themselves, but for generations to come.
